LBA offers registration as EU aviation security validator

Date 2013.11.27

The Federal Aviation Office (LBA) has launched an inquiry of interest for the approval of EU aviation security validator. The EU validator reviews and evaluates compliance with the regulations in the third country by the air carrier designated as ACC3 at the respective locations outside the EU.

The Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1082/2012 has established the basic requirements for the approval of EU aviation security validators. The EU validation of the aviation security is a standardized, documented, impartial and objective procedure for obtaining and evaluating evidence, which is determined, the degree to which the validated body meets the requirements imposed by EU Regulation (EC) No 300 / 2008 and its implementing Regulations.

The EU aviation security validator impartially and objectively reviews and assess compliance with the regulations in the third country by the companies designated as ACC3 at the respective locations outside the EU. His results are caught in a standardized report in English which he sends to the department responsible for the designation of the ACC3 air carrier which he has reviewed.

The EU aviation security validator is approved for its activities by an official body (in Germany, the Federal Aviation Authority). This approval is valid in all EU Member States. As compensation for his services he is entitled to a reasonable fee for the validation and the reimbursement of travel and subsistence by his client.
