Humanitarian Flights/Ambulance Flights
The following procedure only applies for flights planned outside our working hours.
For other flights you have to submit a charter application.
In case of a Humanitarian Flight or an Ambulance Flight air carriers from non-EEA Member States may operate without entry permission subject to the following conditions:
1. The Operating Carrier holds a TCO-Authorization of the EASA.
2. The Operating Carrier holds an Air Carrier Security Program, approved by the LBA, Department S5.
3. In case of an Ambulance Flight: The Operating Carrier informs the LBA prior to commencing the flight (Notification).
In case of a Humanitarian Flight: The Consignor informs the LBA prior to commencing the flight and names the Operating Carrier (Notification).
4. The Operating Carrier submits a valid insurance certificate according to Regulation (EC) No. 785/2004. Insured sums must be mentioned in SDR.
Attention: In case of disregarding the a.m. conditions the LBA will consider a penalty for the Operating Carrier with an administrative offense.
