Section T - Airworthiness/Environmental Protection

  • Approval, oversight and consulting of aeronautical equipment manufacturing organizations according to Regulation (EU) 748/2012 Part-21 Section G
  • Approval, oversight and consulting of combined airworthiness organizations according to COMMISSION Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 Annex Vd (Part-CAO)
  • Approval and oversight of maintenance organizations in accordance with COMMISSION Regulation (EU) No. 1321/2014 Annex II (Part-145), as well as national maintenance organizations in accordance with the Aviation Equipment Inspection Regulation (LuftGerPV)
  • Oversight of maintenance organizations with an additional maintenance approval in accordance with international bilateral agreements (BASA) between the European Union and the United States of America, Canada and Brazil
  • Approval, oversight and consulting of continuing airworthiness management organizations in accordance with COMMISSION Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 Annex Vc (Part-CAMO) in conjunction with Annex I (Part-M) and Annex Vb (Part-ML) and of national continuing airworthiness organizations in accordance with the Airworthiness Review Regulation (LuftGerPV)
  • Airworthiness review based on the recommendations of CAMOs
  • Approval of maintenance programs (AMP) of CAMOs
  • Examination of the technical requirements for operation in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 965/2012
  • Administrative assistance for national and foreign aviation authorities

Section S - Aviation Security

  • Monitoring activities at German and foreign aviation companies in accordance with § 9 Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG)
  • Approval, re-approval and monitoring of participants in the secure supply chain in accordance with § 9a Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG)
  • Re-approval and monitoring of approved inspection technology in accordance with § 10a Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG)
  • Surveillance of approved instructors/security training in accordance with § 2 Luftsicherheits-Schulungsverordnung (LuftSiSchulV)
