Holders of an examiner certificate issued by a competent authority of an EU member state another than a German authority wishing to conduct Practical Skill Tests, Proficiency Checks and Assessments of Competence on pilots holding a German licence, shall study the latest version of the Examiner Differences Document (EDD) - which is provided on the EASA website - prior to the intended test.
If the applicant for a PPL(As), CPL, MPL, ATPL or Instrument Rating holds already a license issued by the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) or will select the LBA as competent authority foreign examiners have to notify every intended Skill Test (Proficiency Checks or Assessments of Competence are not affected) with the form Test Notification.
If you have any questions please contact the Department L 3 - Examiners - via email to be send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that communication with the LBA by email or fax is unencrypted. For reasons of data protection law, we therefore recommend that you use the post for inquiries that contain personal data.
