Airworthiness Review by the LBA
Legal basis: Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014, ML.A.901
According to Appendix Vb (Part-ML) of Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) performs airworthiness reviews on German registered aircraft in the scope of Part-ML on application by the owner.

Application
The application form, in German only, can be found in the download section below. The application can be submitted by mail or fax to Luftfahrt-Bundesamt, Referat T2, 38144 Braunschweig, Germany or Fax +49 531 2355-5299.
The necessary additional documents may be e-mailed to ltk@lba.de. Please make sure that the e-mail can be clearly assigned to your application.
Please note that communication with the LBA via email or fax is unencrypted. For reasons of data protection law, we therefore recommend that you use the post for inquiries that contain personal data.
Additional notes
Every airworthiness review by the LBA according to ML.A.901 will also be considered as ACAM survey in terms of ML.B.303.
Please note that the airworthiness review by the LBA is not free of charge. The payable expenses include the travel expenses to and from the location of the review as well as the expenses for the accommodations for the inspectors involved. In case that the ARC cannot be issued as a result of the review, travel expenses as well as administrative fees will still need to be paid.
Furthermore we want to inform you that findings identified during the airworthiness review are classified according to ML.A.907. The responsible person according to ML.A.201 has to remedy these findings. The obligation to remedy the findings applies even if the airworthiness review ends up with a negative result.
There is explicitly no possibility of an airworthiness review by the LBA for aircraft in the scope of Appendix I (Part-M) of the Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014. Further information can be found in NfL 2-538-20.
