For applicants with a valid operational authorisation in accordance with Article12 of IR (EU) 2019/947 note the following instructions for a successful application.
Submit your application at least 4 weeks before your planed UAS operation.
You will receive a confirmation of receipt as soon as we have received all the documents for processing your application.
Essential documents for your application:
- Article 13 Application
- UAS Operational authorisation from the state of registration in english language
- LBA Article 13 template
- GPS file of the flight location (e.g.*kml)

Fees and charges for applications
The fees and charges for a confirmation of a cross-border operation of unmanned aircraft systems in the "specific" category in German airspace by operators from another Member State of the European Union according to Article 13 of the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 is specified in the Cost regulation of the aviation administration (LuftkostV) chapter VI number 38.
The fees and charges depend on the number of locations of the intended operation:
Number of locations | Fees and charges |
up to 5 locations | 100 € |
for each additional location | 20 € |
more than 25 locations | 500 € |

Foreign Operators (Operators from Non-EU member states)
