Data protection

In case of using the internet service of the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) and of using files, data of this operation are temporarily stored and processed in a journal file.

These are:

• the anonymized IP address. The IP address of the accessing host system is exclusively stored in the following way: In case of storing the address, the last two bytes are put to zero (e.g. xxx.xxx.0.0),
• the browser,
• the journal,
• the operating system of the user,
• the website, from which the user is visiting the LBA-site,
• the websites of the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt that are visited,
• a potential error code of the inquiry,
• the quantity of data transmitted,
• the time of the internet visit.

These data are only evaluated for statistical purposes and in order to improve the internet service; afterwards they will be deleted. Another use or transmission to a third party will not take place.

Use and transmission of personal data

It is your decision with which information we are entrusted.  If, however, except as otherwise explicitly indicated, you ask for a service by e-mail, we need your name and contact details. A transmission of information is at the most carried out within the authority to the respective department of the LBA that is competent.
