ACAM – Aircraft Continuing Airworthiness Monitoring
The task of the ACAM team is to monitor the continuing airworthiness of aircraft. For this purpose ACAM inspectors take random samples of airworthiness of aircraft. These inspections carried out by the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt take place apart from the annual airworthiness inspections. They can be carried out either with or without notification, during turn-around or maintenance of the aircraft or during operation on aerodromes.

The results of the inspections will be collected and evaluated by the ACAM team. If any safety critical developments or other problems are identified, corrective actions will immediately be initiated.
